Take a few moments to consider all the purposes of the photographic image today (for example, family snapshots, fine art, etc.). We live in a visual society where we are bombarded by images...what is the point?

To me it is to capture a moment in time that we can share with everyone. That is either a happy moment or a sad moment. This is also for me the best way to express my artistic side. I love art and can't draw so for a person that wants to express how they are feeling they take pictures. Pictures can mean different things to different people, and that is the beauty about taken pictures. Pictures today are also more than just capturing a moment they are used in magazines, newspapers, books, billboards, and to sell products. Everywhere you look you see some type of photo expressing something.

Photo are also a great way to remember what was going on in that year. It is neat to look back and see what people were wearing in the 70's and 60's. This is the best way to describe what was happening in the past. I love this type of photos that show different time periods.
